The Upcountry of South Carolina is a paradise of clear blue lakes, mountain vistas, tumbling waterfalls, cool mountain streams and rushing rivers. Come here to escape from the frantic pace of everyday life. Not only will you be surrounded by the beauty of the area, but you will find the history fascinating. There are over 500 historic sites including American Revolution battlefields and Indian culture. Our vacation log cabin is located in beautiful Oconee County just off scenic Highway 11 at 307 Hyatt Dr, Salem, SC 29676.  We are only minutes away from Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee. You will find our Bear Pond Cabin on a gravel road situated on a 2 acre stocked fishing pond. We provide a small boat for your fishing pleasure and are in the process of building a dock. You can bring your own boat for the big lakes or rent one nearby. |

Guests to our vacation cabin can enjoy an abundance of activities including hiking, hunting, boating, kayaking, scuba diving, fishing, white water rafting, golfing, canoeing, swimming, cycling, horseback riding, or just plain relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Wildlife sightings in the area include deer, black bear, bald eagles, wildcats, and peregrine falcons. |
